Collector / Treasurer
The Collector is responsible for collection of real estate taxes, personal property taxes, motor vehicle excise taxes, boat excise taxes, water/sewer billing and other departmental accounts.
The Collector also researches and prepares Certificates of Municipal Liens.

The Drop Box for payments to the Collector/Treasurers Office is now located at the entrance to Town Hall
For those who cannot make it down to Town Hall to utilize the dropbox, you are able to pay over the phone or online.
Telephone and Online Payments accepted: ACH (Check), MasterCard, Discover, AMEX and VISA
Please be aware that online and telephone payments all have an additional fee charged by the Credit Card Service Provider.
There will be a convenience fee for each online and telephone payment. Convenience fees cover various administrative costs associated with processing these types of payments and are non-refundable. The convenience fee is automatically calculated and is shown on the payment page before submitting payment for processing. If it is a phone payment, collector/treasurer personnel will discuss fees with you prior to the transaction. Convenience fees will appear as a separate charge from the bill amount on your bank or credit card statement.

Convenience fees apply as follows: $3.95 for a VISA Debit,
All other credit cards are on a scaled convenience fee.
We also are able to process a check for $0.50.
*CASH POLICY*
Effective January 1st, 2018
The Town of East Longmeadow has implemented a “No Cash Policy” with the exception of the
Collector / Treasurer’s Office.
If you would like to pay CASH, please, go to the Collector/Treasurer’s office first to pay and obtain a receipt for your transaction.
Exception: Recreation Department transactions please go to the Recreation Department first to obtain a registration form.
REAL ESTATE TAXES
The Town of East Longmeadow issues QUARTERLY Tax Bills based on a FISCAL year
The tax bills will be issued 30 days before they are due.
The due dates are as follows:
Quarter 1 due August 1st
Quarter 2 due November 1st
Quarter 3 due February 1st
Quarter 4 due May 1s
If the due date falls on a holiday or weekend, then the next business day will be the due date.
The 1st and 2nd Quarter bills are preliminary bills based on the previous fiscal year tax rate, whereas the 3rd and 4th Quarter bills are actual bills based on the current fiscal year’s tax rate.
Payment History
The Collector’s Office encourages you to save all your tax receipts; these will be needed to file your yearly Federal and State Taxes.
If you have misplaced your receipts, you may request a payment summary from the Collector’s office by email. Email your request to collector@eastlongmeadowma.gov, make sure to include your full name and property address also, please, specify what bill information you are inquiring about.

Requests are processed in the order of receipt. We will process all requests at our earliest convenience, normally within 5-7 business days.
