April 15: Household Hazardous Waste Collection @ NEDT Collection Center in Westfield, MA begins. Up to $100.00 will be paid for by the Health Department for East Longmeadow residents to dispose of their hazardous waste! View Press Release and details about what you can bring

April 10: 9AM-10AM 2013 Food Code Training for East Lonmgeadow Food Establishments @ East Longmeadow Town Hall, Town Manager Conference Room. Registration is required for this event. Call the Health Department at 413-525-5400 ext. 1103 to register. 

April 8: 4PM-5PM 2013 Food Code Training for East Lonmgeadow Food Establishments @ East Longmeadow Public Library Community Room. Registration is required for this event. Call the Health Department at 413-525-5400 ext. 1103 to register. 

April 6: 8AM-12PM Trash Pick-Up Day. Starts at the East Longmeadow Fire Station @ 150 Somers Road, East Longmeadow. Register by calling the Health Department at 413-525-5400 ext. 1103. Shirts and pizza will be provided to all volunteers.

March 30: 10AM-11AM Composting Demonstration at East Longmeadow Public Library. Pre-order your compost kitchen pale and outdoor compost bin by calling the Health Department at 413-525-5400 ext. 1103. 

March 28: 6PM-8PM Hampden County MRC's Spring Training Event #1: Introduction To Providing Assistance As A Lay Person @ Longmeadow Richard Salter Storrs Library. Registered required for event. 

March 20: 6:00PM Board of Health Meeting @ East Longmeadow Town Hall Town Manager's Conference Room. 

March 16: East Longmeadow Health Department Waste Reduction 2019 Scholarship Application's due to Elizabeth Bone. The Health Department of East Longmeadow invites East Longmeadow high school seniors to apply for the 2019 ELHD Scholarship.

March 16: 10AM-12PM Rabies Vaccination Clinic for cats & dogs at A.W. Brown's Pet & Garden located at 144 Shaker Road in East Longmeadow. Rabies and distemper vaccinations will be available for $5.00 each. First 50 rabies vaccines will be paid for by Porter Road Pet Care. Dog licenses will also be available at a fee of $10.00 for dogs spayed and neutered and $20.00 for dogs that are not spayed or neutered.

November 3: 9AM-11AM (OR until truck is full) Community Shredding Event @ East Longmeadow High School. This is FREE event and for residents only. Limit 2 boxes/ per person. 

November 13: 6PM American Diabetes Month Program #1: Special Cook Book Club Event featuring The Mediterranean Diabetes Cookbook and Nutritionist Katie Dafoe-Raymond, MS, RD, LDN @ East Longmeadow Public Library Community Room. View Flyer *Registration is required. The Mediterranean Diabetes Cookbook is available at the East Longmeadow Public Library to borrow for recipes, but you do not have to make a recipe if you want to attend for the presentation on nutrition, diabetes awareness and prevention. *
