Additionally, employees who work 20 or more hours per week are eligible to enroll themselves and their dependents in our group health, dental and life insurance plans as well as many other voluntary benefits which are handled by outside representatives but may be paid for through payroll deductions.

Retirees

Retirees of the Town must be receiving a pension check from either Hampden County Regional Board of Retirement or Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System to be eligible to enroll themselves and their dependents in our group health and retiree dental coverage.

Cobra Participants


Qualified individuals are required to pay 102% of the premium for elected coverage. COBRA participants have the same open enrollment opportunities as the employees and can make changes with qualifying events. COBRA enrollment can be voluntarily terminated at any time.

Most employees who meet benefit eligibility requirements also meet membership requirements for participation in one of our state pension programs.

Hampden County Regional Retirement Board
