August 20 Update

Posted on August 25, 2015 at 5:40 PM by George Kingston

The Charter Review Commission is rapidly reaching consensus on the proposed form for a new town government. It has decided that the legislative branch will be a seven member town council elected at large. This will replace the open town meeting. There is a consensus that the executive branch will be a professional town manager appointed by the town council. The details of the town manager's powers and duties remain to be worked out.
