All lithium batteries and any battery over 9V must have the terminals covered with clear scotch tape (please do not use packing, electrical, or duct tape) to prevent accidental short circuiting, which can cause a fire, during shipping. Most hearing aid, watch, and button batteries are lithium, and must be taped. An easy way to do this is line them up on a table, apply a strip of tape to them, flip over, and put another piece of tape on top. All batteries should be the same height for this to work best.
